Featuring different regions of the world each month - this month's featured country is France.

For those passionate about the wonderful world of cheese and wine, let us tempt you with our mouth watering, yet educational look at how certain elements in a wine can be perfectly matched with a cheese and bring out the absolute best in both the cheese and the wine.

For the summer season, France is the featured region, with three different styles of French cheese being offered along with three different wines from the Leconfield range to perfectly complement each other.

McLaren Vale Cellar Door

Leconfield McLaren Vale Cellar Door is also company headquarters, and the home of Richard Hamilton Wines. Opened by the former Prime Minister of Australia, Hon John Howard MP on October 7 2005, the building is nestled amongst the vineyards with magnificent views to the Willunga escarpment.

Two kilometres south of McLaren Vale, on the Willunga Road and ten kilometres east of the sea, the striking building blends Australian and Danish characteristics, reflecting the owners respective heritages.

The Cellar Door offers the full range of Richard Hamilton Estate and Single Vineyard Reserve wines, and selected Leconfield wines. Platters of local regional foods are available daily. For larger groups these may be ordered in advance.

The building is bordered by sweeping lawns and wide verandahs. The flexible floorplan and a full caterers kitchen make it a popular venue for private functions during and outside tasting hours.
